Homes in first district of Sultan Haitham City open for sale

MUSCAT: In partnership with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Al Abrar Real Estate Company has announced the launch of sales in Hay Al Wafa, the first neighbourhood in the highly-anticipated Sultan Haitham City. The launch ceremony, was held in the presence of Dr Khalfan bin Said al Shueili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, marks a significant milestone in the development of this landmark project.

Hay Al Wafa offers a vibrant mix of 347 residential units, ranging from spacious villas (attached, detached, and semi-detached) to modern apartments within residential complexes. This caters to the diverse needs and preferences of future residents, fostering a truly inclusive community.

Residents of Hay Al Wafa will enjoy the convenience of integrated services right at their doorstep. From educational facilities like government schools to healthcare amenities like a health centre and a private hospital, the district will provide everything needed for a comfortable and fulfilling life. Mosques, community centres, mixed-use buildings, a cultural centre, and a lively plaza further enhance the neighbourhood's appeal.

Hay Al Wafa prioritises sustainability, seamlessly integrating modern and abstract architectural designs with ample green spaces. The generous per capita share of 8 square metres of green space ensures a healthy and visually pleasing environment for residents.

Committed to making homeownership accessible, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has partnered with Al-Abrar to allocate 5 per cent of Hay Al Wafa's units to the government's housing assistance programme. Additionally, the ministry, in collaboration with the Oman Housing Bank and several commercial and Islamic banks, is offering attractive financing options for those eligible for the government residential land grant system. These options include increased loan ceiling of RO 80,000 per loan from the Oman Housing Bank, totalling RO 240 million in housing loans; discounted housing loans from Bank Muscat (3.5 per cent interest rate for the first 150 applications) and other participating banks (3.5 per cent interest rate for the first 100 applications each, totalling over RO 40 million in loans).

Residents of Hay Al Wafa will be ideally situated to enjoy the world-class facilities planned for the first phase of Sultan Haitham City, including a sprawling central park and valley encompassing over 1 million square metres; the National Centre for Women and Children's Health and Reference Hospital, boasting a capacity of 1,200 beds and spanning over 666,000 square metres; and a public university, a College of Advanced Technology, and the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, providing residents with access to diverse educational opportunities.

This launch presents a remarkable opportunity for Omani citizens and eligible non-Omani residents to invest in a modern, integrated community, backed by government support and attractive financing options. Ten lucky buyers will also win a discount worth RO 10,000 on their property purchase.
